What started in the 1960s as Paskapoo Hill where Calgarians learned to ski, has evolved into a world-class recreational mecca. People of all ages can learn to ski or snowboard, practice mogul runs and train to be on the podium on Western Canada’s largest halfpipe.
WinSport Canada Olympic Park prides itself for its perfectly groomed corduroy snow. There are 14 hectares of skiable terrain in addition to a terrain park which has five zones, featuring small to XL features, rails and a beginner area. There is also a 12-foot mini pipe for riders interested in riding a halfpipe before progressing to the 22-foot halfpipe, which is the largest of its kind in Western Canada.
For those who want to have fun without strapping on skis or a snowboard, Western Canada’s largest tube park is fitted with washrooms, a food truck where riders can enjoy hot chocolate and mini doughnuts in the cozy seating area.
