- Profile
Nestled in the Municipal District of Greenview, on the beautiful Wapiti River Valley just 10 minutes south of Grande Prairie, Nitehawk Year-Round Adventure Park has been proudly community-owned and operated since 1960. What began as a small local ski hill has grown into a vibrant non-profit outdoor recreation hub, offering fun, adventure, and connection for all ages; all year long!
In winter, families and friends can hit the slopes on nine exciting runs suited for every skill level — from beginners finding their balance to seasoned riders chasing new thrills. The park features a T-Bar lift, Platter lift, and two carpet conveyors, along with a wide variety of terrain park features and fully lit runs for night skiing that keep the fun going after dark. Guests can also enjoy the Aquatera Tube Zone, featuring four tubing lanes, a cozy lower chalet, and the unforgettable glow-in-the-dark tubing experience at night.
Beyond the slopes, Nitehawk offers mountain biking trails, a family-friendly RV campground, and a Trail Race Series that spans seven events throughout the year. The park also features a welcoming Event Centre and on-site restaurant, making it the perfect destination for outdoor fun, family gatherings, and corporate or community celebrations in every season. With exciting plans to continue expanding its year-round experiences, there’s always something new on the horizon at Nitehawk.
As a non-profit organization, every visit, membership, and donation or sponsorship directly supports our mission to provide accessible, affordable recreation for thousands of local families, youth, and visitors each year. Come discover why generations of Grande Prairie and Area residents have made Nitehawk their place to play, laugh, and embrace the great outdoors, year-round.
